This piece is part of “Field Notes,” a series within Arturo Fresán’s larger exhibition, TZOMPANTLI. A Mexican-American painter born in Mexico City and a graduate of UNAM’s Faculty of Art & Design, Fresán uses vivid color and layered symbolism to interrogate systemic decay, personal complicity, and structural violence. Each work in this series becomes a poetic indictment, capturing the ghost-traces of decisions made or denied.
