Active Sector MFG is a multidisciplinary creative studio based in Chicago, dedicated to the intersection of art, design, and cultural production. We provide art direction, branding, graphic design, illustration, and merchandising services while also curating a showroom and store that features original works, prints, and objects.
At the heart of the studio is Arturo Fresán, a Mexico City–born artist and art director whose practice balances precision with imagination. With years of experience creating design and visual strategies for cultural agencies, governments, nonprofits, record labels, music venues, and independent artists, Fresán brings a deep understanding of both aesthetics and communication. His work is informed by an artistic sensibility rooted in color, movement, and structure, always aiming to connect ideas with their most powerful visual form.
Active Sector reflects Fresán’s vision: a space where creative services meet fine art, and where collaboration leads to work that is both thoughtful and striking. Every project — whether a brand identity, an exhibition, or a custom artwork — is approached with the care and detail of a crafted object, ensuring it resonates beyond the surface.
